The purpose of the Job is to support the Group Risk Management and Internal Control processes as well as the ISO and OHSAS initiatives. This role will focus on the technical Internal Controls aspects and provide input and support to team members, Divisions and Business Unit through active involvement in the preparation of plans for various GHO departments, Company Wide Controls and the LOR process as well as training at various levels of the organisation of internal controls and the tools used by the department. In addition, other purpose of the job is assisting the Senior Manager Internal Controls in the maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 in GHO.
Core activities:
Support the Internal Control Manager in the development and maintenance of the TNT Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) strategy and methodology based on guidance of the Senior Internal Control Manager to contribute to the realisation of TNT objectives;
Ensure effective and efficient design, implementation and reporting of the TNT Internal Control Process in agreement with the Internal Control Manager by developing the necessary standards for the assigned GHO departments;
Ensure effective and efficient design implementation and reporting of the GHO ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Standards in agreement with the Senior Internal Control Manager;
Support the Internal Control Manager in the execution of action plans and project milestones, organising the required resources in line with the requirements of the Senior IC Manager in order to contribute to the realisation of TNT Objectives;
Manage the relationship with the GHO departments/functions assigned by the Senior Manager IC keeping them informed on all relevant information, for example via reporting;
Support the Internal Control Manager in developing and maintaining a central database of TNT Group Policies and Procedures as well as a central portal on TNT connect related to TNT Group Policies and Procedures;
Maintain the TNT Internal Control over CR Reporting strategy in consultation with the Internal Control Manager to contribute to the realisation of TNT objectives. Facilitate internal processes and control change management accordingly;
Maintain, manage and execute the semi annual LOR process in TNT in conjunction with the Group Financial Reporting and Planning department.

Achievement of agreed objectives;
Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, Internal Controls, COSO 1 & II, knowledge of TNT Group policies and procedures would be an advantage.
Adverse Working Conditions:
Job will involve foreign (international) travel outside of the Netherlands of potentially up to 15% of the annual working days to other TNT locations.
Preferred profile
University degree (masters / Bachelors);
Relevant and recognised professional qualifications (e.g. RA, ACA, CPA, RO) preferred;
MBA or reputable equivalent is necessary from other countries where professional qualification is not common practice;
Demonstrate an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the TNT’s businesses and Group Head Office Departments, including level of acceptable internal controls and level of risk management at a local and divisional and group level;
Knowledge of the TNT businesses and Group Head Office Departments would be an advantage;
2 to 4 years experience in operational auditing and/or corporate control;
Knowledge of the TNT businesses and Group Head Office Departments would be an advantage;
TNT Knowledge would be an advantage;
Experience in an accounting function within a international environment would be an advantage;
Understanding of TNT Policies and Procedures would be an advantage;
Up to date knowledge of SEC. PCAOB, IFRS, IAS, SAS and USGAAP standards;
Fluent in English (verbal and written);
Other languages give a distinct advantage.
