The Division Industrial Engineering (of which Royal Haskoning Dordtse Engineering forms a part) has a successful track record founded on a broad range of knowledge and experience in the industrial sector.

We have acquired our reputation through the execution of projects in various sectors of industry: i.e. (petro) chemicals, oil & gas, food & beverages, pharmaceuticals, waste treatment, wholesale & commission trade and transport industry. Our professionals are skilled in many areas. A wealth of services is offered in all stages of an industrial project (pre-project consultancy, project preparation, project implementation, operations, end-of-life-cycle). Besides maintaining the required technical capabilities and skills, we specialize in meeting the main challenge in industrial projects, namely reducing the time-to-market and costs of investment. To achieve this we apply ‘variant design methods’ focusing on development of those items that are essential to the project. By applying best and value improving practices in the front-end loading phase, the desired quality levels and local/international safety standards are met, operations can be optimized (incl. emission reduction, noise, water, waste, energy, materials handling incl. HSE) and capital productivity is improved.

In addition to the obvious co-operation with experts of the other Royal Haskoning divisions, we co-operate with local staff, partners and organizations to ensure optimum utilization of local knowledge concerning required permits, standards, rules and norms. The Division Industrial Installations offers industrial clients multidisciplinary services with a straightforward project oriented approach.
Job description
  • Maintain relevant contacts with clients.

  • Supervise and coach discipline project team members.

  • Control the progress of applicable project discipline activities in terms of quality, schedule and cost/

  • Preparation of construction and man-hour budget estimates.

  • Participate in development of P&ID’s and HAZOP’s.

  • Preparation of flow control valve and SIL calculations.

  • Selection of appropriate instruments and systems, preparation of requisitions and evaluation of bids.

  • Procurement of instruments and systems including follow-up (FAT).

  • Check and approve all documents prepared by discipline project team members.

  • Effective communication with project team, client and vendors.

Your qualifications and experience
  • Experience in oil & gas, NLG and refinery.

  • Team worker.

  • Good social and communication skills.

  • Enthusiastic, motivated, good commercial skills and awareness of customer needs.

  • Has relevant relation network.

  • Required languages: English and Dutch (verbal and in writing).

  • HBO/TU education level Electrical Engineering with additional course in instrumentation control.

  • Preferably more than10 years relevant experience in process industry.
